Civilisations Brussels Art Fair - Winter Edition

  • Civilisations Brussels Art Fair Bruxelles, Bruxelles, 1000 Belgium (map)

Civilisations Brussels Art Fair will take place in the heart of Brussels from January 21 to 25, 2026, with distinguished exhibitors showcasing an exquisite collection of Asian, Tribal, and Ancient art in the vibrant Sablon district, creating a dynamic and enriching experience for exhibitors and visitors.

This Winter Edition will prominently feature Japanese art. From Belgium, Kitsune Japanese Art is renowned for its refined selection of tea-ceremony wares and samurai culture, while Gregg Baker Asian Art, with over 35 years of expertise, presents classical Japanese screens, early Buddhist sculptures, lacquerware, and post-war painting and calligraphy. From France, Cristina Ortega & Michel Dermigny showcase modern and contemporary Japanese ceramics, along with lacquer, paravents, netsuke, and 19th-century objets d’art, while Eric

Piffret further enriches the exhibition with additional Japanese artworks. Since 2022, the fair has brought together a selection of galleries on a unified platform, emphasizing those committed to presenting meticulously curated objects of artistic quality and authenticity. An independent committee of curators, scholars, experts, and conservators will carefully evaluate each artwork exhibited before the fair opens to guarantee a high standard of quality, assuring collectors of an authentic artistic experience.

Additionally, a digital catalogue presenting each exhibitor and their artworks will be released ahead of the fair. During the show, galleries throughout the Sablon District will open their doors, inviting visitors to explore their collections, often through curated exhibitions and special openings. A comprehensive guide map will be provided, enabling guests to navigate the district and fully engage with the artworks on display.

Civilisations ASBL is a non-profit and democratic organization, led by a dedicated board of six voluntary members who are deeply involved in the art community and actively participate in the fair as exhibitors. Arie Vos, Carlo Crist, Jacques Lebrat, Jo De Buck, Karim Grusenmeyer, and Serge Schoffel share a commitment to fostering cultural exchange and artistic expression within the community.
