On behalf of Liang Yi Museum, we are delighted to invite you to the opening of our upcoming special exhibition, Operatic Heights: A Tribute to Mei Lanfang, curated by Dr. Fu Shaoxing - assistant professor at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and one of the first graduates of the joint Liang Yi Museum and Tsinghua University internship programme.

The exhibition reimagines Peking Opera through contemporary wearable art, showcasing over 30 works by Dr. Fu Shaoxiong that blend traditional craftsmanship such as metal cloisonné and gemstone inlay with modern technology like 3D printing.

As part of the opening programme, Dr. Fu Shaoxing will deliver an introduction to his creative practice in metal craftsmanship from both traditional and contemporary perspectives, and explore the study of jewellery and silverware objects from both Asian and European perspectives. Following the lecture, Dr. FU will host a panel discussion with fellow Tsinghua University PhD candidates and experts on the display and research of silverware and jewellery objects in the museum.
