Jacqueline Chao, The 20th Anniversary of the Crow Museum of Asian Art
Over the past twenty years, the Crow Collection of Asian Art has grown in both the
objects it contains and the programs it offers; today, it is recognized as the Asian art
museum of Dallas. Beginning with just over 600 works, the permanent collection has
now expanded to more than 1,000 works, and showcases the artistic achievements of
over six thousand years of art and culture from across Asia. This article considers
highlights from the founding collection as well as recent acquisitions beyond those of
the original founders, Margaret and Trammell Crow.
