The Asian Art Museum will reopen on 20 March at the Civic Center in downtown San Fracisco. In this issue, the museum's curators commemorate the occasion with a series of articles featuring new acquisitions and fresh research on objects in the existing collections. Director Emily Sano discusses the complexities of relocating the museum, while Marjorie Bissinger looks back on its founding and her friendship with Avery Brundage.
